Playing with Velvet

Todays post is centred around this dark blue velvet maxi I have been living in recently .I snagged it for £3 from the charity shop and the fact that it had this seasons oh so fashionable slit up the side really sealed the deal for me.In the summer I am going to style it with bare arms and more of a healthy glow,until then I have thrown a few of my favourite pieces over the top of it!

First is a yellow sheer shirt from ASOS which I adore, it also came in grey but why wear grey when you can wear in-your-face yellow?Continuing the garish theme I thought I would dig out this old sequin jacket for good measure which is also courtesy of the charity shop.To finish this styling set I opted for a kind of "librarian-chic" vibe with this topshop cardi which cost me all of a tenner!Which look if your favourite ?
